The choir was founded in 2000 as a female choir – since 2008 it is a mixed choir. There are 30 members in the choir. Their main task is to contribute to cultural life of the north Hungarian region Nógrád area.  The grounder of the choir is also its conductor – Mr. László Gyimesi, chairman of faculty at the School of Arts of Márk Rózsavölgyi in Balassagyarmat.  In recent 5 year they have participated under his direction in numerous successfull concerts – outside Hungary they performed in Assisi, Italy. They organize own Christmas and Easter concerts – last May they gave a concert in the Bishops Castle of Vác. Their repertoire consists of songs from Renaissance till 20th century works, including sacred, folk and musical compositions. At the first choral competition of Radio Maria in 2013 they won bronze, in the Hungarian choir classification system KÓTA they received the title „festival choir“.
